Event Details
This conference provides up-to-date, evidence-based pediatric nutrition information for Registered Dietitians (RDs). This training is an excellent addition to the RD’s Professional Development Portfolio and can be used to help document the dietitian’s competencies with children of different ages as required by JCAHO. At the end of the conference, participants will become members of an on-going Pediatric Nutrition Consultation On-Line listserv.
In addition to our traditional 3-day conference, we are holding a 2-day option with advanced content
Option 1 (May 7-9, 2019)
- Our “traditional” 3-day conference that is intended for RDNs and other professionals who work with pediatric populations and have not had extensive or recent training and experience in pediatric nutrition
Option 2 (May 9-10, 2019)
- This 2-day option is intended for RDNs who have attended a previous Assuring Pediatric Nutrition conference or who have a solid foundation in pediatric nutrition. Several topics will be addressed in-depth, with a combination of didactic (lecture) and active learning.
Option 3 (May 7-10, 2019)
- This “best value” option combines Options 1 and 2 – stay 4 days and hear it all
Throughout the conference, speakers emphasize decision-making processes and the use of evidence-based practice. Teaching methods include lecture, interactive discussions, demonstration, and case-based learning, and participants are encouraged to submit case examples and individual learning objectives ahead of time.
Participants will be automatically subscribed to the closed listserv, Pediatric Nutrition Consultation On-Line, which provides ongoing pediatric nutrition consultation and resources.
Registration is limited to facilitate interactive, small group learning experiences and to promote the development of clinical competencies.
