“Don’t We Already Do Inclusion?”- Creating Schools for All

Keynote Speaker:  Dr. Paula Kluth

Are you interested in learning more about inclusive schools? Do you want ideas for designing lessons with a UDL [Universal Design for Learning] lens? Do you want to explore how to create or support classrooms that are engaging, responsive, and welcoming to all?

If you answered “yes” to one or all three of these questions, this workshop is for you! The activities, examples, and illustrations in this session are designed to help participants refine their vision and their skills when it comes to inclusion. In this high energy workshop, Dr. Kluth will discuss what inclusion should look like today and share relevant research, classroom examples, and illustrations of powerful practices. Come and learn tried and true techniques as well some out-of-the-box solutions.

Topics that will be addressed include “teaching up”, joyful and active learning, UDL, collaboration and role sharing. This interactive day also features video clips, stories, community-building exercises, a game show reenactment, brain breaks, flying monkeys, and a microphone covered in glitter.

The 2020 CHAMPS/NWRPCA Fall Primary Care Conference provides education and training, information and resource sharing, coalition building, and program and policy development for like-minded community health professionals and their partners.

Here are some of the highlights you’ll find in the Conference Schedule:
The Fall Conference will begin on Monday morning with an Opening Plenary featuring Jim Macrae from the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) and Luis Padilla from the Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW). They will be joined by NACHC leadership and there will be an opportunity to ask questions of the HRSA and NACHC presenters.

Thirty virtual Conference Sessions spanning seven tracks: Board Governance, HR/Workforce, Clinical, Fiscal, Operations, Healthy Communities and Leadership, begin on Tuesday morning.

Interact with our exhibitors during Exhibit Hall Hours. This year’s Conference will feature a new and exciting exhibitor platform that will make connecting with Conference exhibitors even better! More details to be announced.
