Join the Washington State Department of Health on Thursday, November 3rd, 12:15 -1:30 p.m. via Zoom for Partnering with School-Based Health Centers to Improve Care: a health equity and systems approach.
During this webinar, you’ll learn more about SBHCs in Washington from the Washington School-Based Health Alliance. You’ll understand the types of services and providers working at SBHCs, the benefits of SBHCs for young patients, the community and local providers, the partnerships required to make SBHCs successful, and the role of SBHCs in health care for young patients. You’ll hear from healthcare providers working in and with SBHCs share their stories and experiences. And you’ll learn what collaborating and partnering with SBHCs looks like.
This session is geared toward family practice and pediatric providers, clinic staff, youth-serving providers, and others who want to learn more about partnering with SBHCs in Washington. An application has been submitted to provide 1.25 hours free CME through the American Academy of Family Physicians.
After the session, you will be able to:
- Describe SBHCs in Washington, their services, and the benefits of SBHCs for communities, schools, clinics, and young patients.
- Understand the role of SBHCs in the healthcare system and how they can reduce common barriers and improve access for children and youth.
- Better partner with SBHCs to meet the needs of children and youth in your community.
