A Public Health Approach to the Opioid Crisis – Hot Topics in Practice

Public health agencies play a key role in preventing opioid misuse and addiction. In the February session of Hot Topics in Practice, Mike Fraser, CEO of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, will review how public health professionals can take a lead in addressing the root causes of this crisis.

This one-hour webinar is the second session in a two-part series exploring how leaders can use systems thinking to understand and find new solutions to complex problems. The presentation will highlight opportunities for public health agencies to bring epidemiological expertise and a systems perspective to addiction prevention efforts in their communities.
