Providing current, authoritative information on genetic testing and its use in diagnosis, management, and genetic counseling, GeneTests promotes the appropriate use of genetic services in patient care and personal decision-making.    This is a publicly funded medical genetics information resource developed for physicians, other healthcare providers, and researchers.  It provides disorder specific information. international directory of clinical and laboratory resources, educational materials and further resource information.

GeneReviews section provides information on the presentation, laboratory evaluation, management and resources for many genetic disorders and syndromes.  Updates are provided approximately every two years. Authors are asked to work with the GeneReviews editorial staff in carrying out a systematic update of their Review to ensure the currency of clinically relevant information.

OMIM - Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man

Database of human genes and genetic disorders with information and references. OMIM is intended for use primarily by physicians and other professionals concerned with genetic disorders, by genetics researchers, and by advanced students in science and medicine. While the OMIM database is open to the public, users seeking information about a personal medical or genetic condition are urged to consult with a qualified physician for diagnosis and for answers to personal questions.
